Frequently Asked Questions

  • Evaluations are completed once a year, on or before the anniversary of the date of registration. We will help parents with the evaluation process.

  • Yes, we work closely with our parents. Our hive is a close community and we love parents getting involved and working together with us.

  • Payments can be paid through Zelle, Venmo, paid by check or cash on the first Monday of every month for homeschool students.

Payment schedule will be given based on how often tutoring occurs or if parents selected a packaged or individual session.

  • After every session we like to debrief with parents and tell them what was done and how the student performed. We work closely with our parents and keep them very much involved. We ask parents to listen in during certain sessions and occasionally join to witness milestones in their child’s growth. We also help parents by providing them with tools and resources that they can implement at home to further help their child. Furthermore, we give our parents the option to connect us with their student’s teacher so that we could work closely with them and achieve academic success.

  • Each tutoring session will be for one hour.

  • To support the process, we need to work together as a team. One thing that we ask is for parents to help us provide consistency to our little ones. Scheduling sessions in advance helps do that as well as setting a schedule which becomes routine will provide students with consistency.

  • BlessEd Bee is a home based tutoring center. We are currently looking for a location to further expand. We work as a team among parents and teachers to educate our children. For our homeschoolers we created a multi hour package to tutor them in all subjects.

  • Your child(ren) will need to be registered as a homeschool student. You must submit a Notice of Intent within 30 days of the establishment of your home education program.

  • Parents are responsible to put together and keep records of a student's progress for two years. Throughout the academic year, we will help parents by putting portfolios together to show students progress and keep them in our center.

  • We start our interaction by having parents fill out a set of questions so that we can get to know them better. We then schedule an initial assessment with your child to help us better understand where they are academically and learn more about their learning style, personality, interests, etc. After our initial assessment, we create a “mock lesson based on the information we have collected”. During our first initial “mock lesson,” we will continue to collect information about the student academically and on a personal level to customize a plan for them based on their current reading needs and who they are as an individual. After the first two lessons, we will have a better idea of the student’s learning style, preferences, personality which will help us to continue to customize their journey and adjust as they progress.

  • You will see academic improvements in weeks as well as character growth in your child. We work with our students in a holistic approach. Embedded in our reading lessons we focus on critical thinking skills, social emotional learning as well as character traits. Your child will not only grow academically but personally and emotionally as well.

  • Tutoring sessions take place in our hive or student’s home.

  • We are flexible with our schedule and work closely with our parents. However, we ask that parents let us know of any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance from scheduled sessions. If a no show occurs, we will charge for the session as normal.
